She gently asked that he leave.
With humility and politeness,
She requested that he quickly climb
Aboard a giant rocket
And navigate to Mars.

Her smile was soft,
And rage burned
The backs of
Her radiant aquamarine eyes.

Her elegant hands moved slowly,
With intention and thoughtfulness,
As her awkward little toes
Tapped loudly enough
That 206 complained.

Her voice, like a
Tiny, frustrated cherub,
Whispered that
Their paths
Must now separate.

Cold saline
Slipped
From her face
To cool
A fresh cup of chai.

Overwhelming emotion
Informed
A completely mindful
And wise decision,
To be sure.
